We can not wait to return. Roatan is a beautiful little island and this resort is the best kept secret. It has a great location for staring at the blue waters of the Caribbean on a beach chair, snorkeling, diving, kayaking or enjoying the pool. Great hospitality, delicious food and a great place for exploring all that Roatan has to offer.

Stayed here with a group of 19 divers. The facility is a series of about 5 or 6 4-room buildings. The rooms are spacious and bright and each has a nice little balcony. Shower is large. We had plenty of hot water for showering, but some of our friends said they ran out. The resort is one of the farthest east and feels isolated/private and very quiet. Three meals a day are served buffet-style, and there is more than enough food to choose from and the flavor is AMAZING. Margaritas are strong :) The staff at the resort is very friendly, everyone smiled and talked to us, from management to kitchen staff to grounds staff to maintenance, etc. A happy place.

Diving: the dive shop is well-stocked and kept clean. The space for storing gear is organized and relatively spacious. The dive boats are clean and in very good condition. The dive masters and captains are fun and friendly and want to make sure you have the best experience possible. The dive masters go slowly and are conscientious about pointing out anything you're interested in. Many of my fellow divers took the lionfish hunting course, so our dive masters were really good about finding the lionfish and making sure everyone had a shot that wanted one.

Also, the kitchen will cook up the lionfish, and it's yummy yummy yummy! I especially liked it fried.

As a diver, I highly recommend Turquoise Bay Resort for an overall pleasant, relaxing, fun, friendly experience.

This is my kind of dive resort!! Small yet comfortable with friendly staff who actually get to know you. The rooms were simple yet clean and comfortable. From day one the wait staff knew the names of everyone in our group and the bartender remembered my preferred drink! There is a long beautiful beach on a private lagoon but the sand fleas can be bad so don't forget your bug spray. This resort is geared mostly for divers but non-divers will enjoy the beach and pool, plus the hotel can arrange shore excursions. The food was excellent! This is a remote location about half way up the island and away from the noise of the west end. If you are looking for a quiet dive vacation this is the place on Roatan.

was amazed how much I enjoyed my stay in Roatan this year. We had stayed at the Cocoview Resort in '98,'00,'02,'06 and Anthony's Key in '10, so we had a general idea of what to expect (water temp, visibility, food, flights, weather, no-see-ems,etc..) and still my expectations were surpassed. It was a quiet, peaceful and friendly Resort (for some reason I expected rowdy kids and families). The staff as has been noted on many reviews are extremely friendly ( the'll even open the doors for you or accompany you to your rooms with umbrella if it's raining). They make the effort to get to know you and call you by your first name. They are constantly re-filling your drinks and asking you for what beverage you prefer and remove plates off the table as soon as you are done with them.
Food: Very good and many choices. Breakfast consisted of fruits, cereal, yogurts, bread, jellies, peanut butter OR cook to order eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc. Lunch always had soups and salads with a variety of menu items to choose from and Dinner was the same with every day something different and local foods incooperated into the mix.
Diving: Wonderful as Maynor (DM) and Dewey and Capt. Steve took us to easy to get 5-10 minute rides to the divesites ( infact, most dive sites are within 5-15 minutes from the Resort). We saw the macro life ( seahorses) to the big stuff ( nurse sharks , free swimming morey eels, crabs ,lobsters, etc) and even wrecks ( El Aguila). The visibility as I have expected is not he clear carrabean waters ,but is good enough to not complain about.
Accomodations: nice and clean with hot water, and confortable beds. The maids fill out a jar of water everyday for the guests to drink. All the rooms face the Ocean and the vegetation is well kept up,trim, and colorful.
We had the unfortunate bad luck to have 2 days of rain, so we chose not to go diving those days where they would of bussed us to the southside to do the days dives (However Divecenter told us it was up to us for they would go if we wanted ).
Overall, I cannot wait to return. This place has the best things that you would find at both Cocoview and Anthony's key, and in fact, IF COCOVIEW AND ANTHONY'S KEY HAD A BABY,.....IT WOULD BE CALLED TURQUOISE BEACH RESORT!!
